What's a better way to spend a long weekend then with good friends, good food (we had the funnest BBQ with friends), and lots of funny stories?! I can't think of one can you?

I had the best weekend packed full with memories that will last me a lifetime and beyond!

I feel so blessed and so happy with where i'm at and where i'm headed.

I am incredibly thankful for those who fought for this beautiful country and especially for the special soldier in my life! I'm so proud of her and look up to her so much, she is a real hero! :) Also to my Grandparents, Uncle and other friends who served (and serve) for this country! Thank You!

 I wish Michael (my cute brother) and I could have gone to visit my Grandpa's Grave but it is quite far away!

Oh yes I do!!!

Haha Forgive me for not posting until...THURSDAY! lol I'm sorry! I don't know what it is about this week but it seems like it's been busy, even though I can't really remember why! haha!

Something funny about this outfit, one of my guy friends used to laugh at me and say; "Mar(e), how can you wear $100+ jeans and a shirt from DI (thrift store)?!" and I'd always answer..."That's fashion babe!" So today in honor of my good friend (YES! A few brave men read my blog) I paired up designer jeans, with a shirt I literally got for about $3.00. I guess it evens it out in my mind or how I justify it haha. 

I have a love hate relationship with Tuesdays and Thursdays (as many of you know). 

I've always liked being honest with my readers so here it is...the biggest reason I HATE (Alright, Alright, DISLIKE) T&TR is, yep.. I see HIM every T&TR. Yes HIM; cute, perfect, happy, all moved on, and still so very HANDSOME. Then there's me who puts a little more effort into looking cute on T&TR (pathetic I know), just trying to avoid any eye contact when I walk by. Occasionally if I'm feeling brave, I'll give a little wave but that's rare. Man, some days it STILL kills me but I'm a big girl (I Promise), and I'm moving on! I guess this makes me human and real and not just some wannabe fashion blogger out there! hee hee

So yeppers that's Tuesdays and Thursdays for ya!

WOAH! Lots of Pics today! Like I said in the details, I got this skirt from a thrift store and I'm MOST DEFINITELY sure that it was some old lady's skirt haha but like they say 'One man's trash is another man's treasure", haha I love it! I'll let you in on a little secret...this skirt is perfect for days like today when I DIDN'T shave my legs! (LOL) Another thing, I had another brown cardigan (from jcrew) that would have been better for this outfit but me being the smart, domesticated woman that I am, SHRUNK IT boo hoo, oh well! Anyways I felt like being extra creative (or crazy) today, since my week lately consists of wearing scrubs...(don't get me wrong I love wearing scrubs and I have tons of fun ones too but...they're not that flattering!)

Funny story though, Last night EX ROOMIE and I went out dancing (for a charity benefit) and oh my is my little old lady body sore today! Anyways we met lots of fun and very nice people (and some creepies too) but overall it was a WIN and for such a good cause!

Well my friends,  I have a 12 hour shift at Madison ER starting at 1400 (ahhh!) Hope I don't see you there ;)

What to wear tomorrow...what to wear!?! I'm feeling something kinda crazy and dramatic! (I've seriously worn scrubs 3 days this week...and will wear them all day Sunday too!) I have so many ideas...Check back to see!!!! :)

While we're on the topic of shoes...and since it's almost time to put these beauties away for the spring and summer I just thought I'd let the world in on a little secret...YES! I have a boots fetish! My poor Dad is probably wondering where all my grocery money went...um well now he knows! JK! REALLY just joking Dad! (Yes, my cute Dad reads my blog everyday & Yes he's probably appalled by the amount of  clothes I have!) But seriously he is probably sitting in his office at home, (with a game of hearts up and important papers scattered across his desk of course) about to have a heart attack! Yeah it's bad I know! lol Especially because Roommie and I hit a sale the other weekend and I bought another pair!!! Just remember I live in a climate where more than 6 months out of the year it's either snowing or incredibly icy...so BOOT (GOOD BOOTS) are a necessity! (Yes, this is how I justify my addiction!) I will now go search the internet in hopes of finding an obsessed with boots addiction support group (or maybe I'll have to start one)! Wish me luck! In the mean time, farewell to my delicious boots collection...see you next fall (or the next time it snows so probably next week)!!

Oh Tuesday, what will I do with you?! I could sleep last night, I couldn't sleep this morning and I have a lovely paper I haven't started yet due at 3! Is it Friday yet?! haha! On the flipside I get to see some of my favorite people today in Health Promotions and last night was super fun when Ryan came over! (Such a nice guy!!!!) Shoe(ca)tastrophe!!

LOL! One of my avid followers emailed this to me today with a story explaining how she was walking and all of a sudden her shoe broke! Poor thing! Even worse I believe she was in public when this terrible tragedy happened, OH NO!! I thought it was too funny not too share with everyone else! Well my dear friend...I've got enough shoes for the both of us, but it looks like it's time to go shoe shopping!!! mmm my favorite!  :) Send us a pic of your new shoes!

Hippie & Roomie Love

**I love this dress because it's so versatile and can be worn with leggings or boots etc!

Today was finally sunny enough to wear a dress! HOORAY! There's actually a lovely story behind this dress, Roomie and I were out doing what we do best (shopping) and I saw this dress and tried it on and LOVED it but didn't purchase it (yes, I practiced impulse control). Anyways, I had a LONG, HARD WEEK and the other night I heard a little knock on my bedroom door and there was a package on the ground with this beautiful dress in it and a sweet note! I couldn't believe it and it was seriously the nicest thing, I love it and her! I'm such a lucky girl! Love you Roomie! So lets go spread the cheer and go do something nice for someone! I'll race you! Take your mark...GET...SET...

Today is rainy, cloudy and overcast, just how I like it! It makes me miss Washington and home so much! I've been dying to go to get on a plane and jet home real quick! So much to do and people to see! I talked to mystery boy (haha names will NOT be revealed lol) yesterday and I want to go see him and his new puppy and go to the tulip festival! Can't you just imagine it, hand in hand, walking through fields of flowers!?  I'm also dying to hold my sweet new baby niece, Belle! But instead I'm stuck with piles of homework, two tests, and a lot of work, boo hoo! Oh well, I'm happy with where I am and who I'm with! :) Oh and Happy Birthday to my beautiful roommie Nellie! :)

Can I just tell you about my productive Saturday for a minute?! haha I woke up at 7:30am (I know it's unheard of for me) and studied for a bit, then went to go take a test on campus (boo hoo!) ACED that in 45 minutes then came home to eat a delicious breakfast! After that I threw some laundry in and then it was off to a doctor's appointment. Luckily that finished quicker than I thought and I came home just in time to change the laundry! haha After that my cleaning OCD(ness) kicked in and I proceeded to clean the kitchen, bathroom, and my bedroom haha all before 1 pm. (BEAUTIFUL!) I ran some errands around town and did some more hw and now i'm writing a quick blog to say hi and that I love you all! :) Happy Saturday! See you tomorrow!

Oh Tuesday! What will I do with you? Sometimes Tuesday like Thursday just feels like a filler day. Full of lots of homework, lots of school work, but such a great day! I'm happy to be with my brother still and hangout with my roommates (love them!) mmmmhmm!

As pictured above, my sweet brother drove 3 hours to surprise me! He showed up at my door with goodies (yum) and totally surprised me! About an hour earlier he called and we chatted for awhile, I had no idea he was on his way to see me! I love him so much and it's so fun to be with him! Today was great although half my day was spent with my face in a microscope studying for my Microbiology class it was still a great one! :) Happy Monday my dears!
