"Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening." -Coco Chanel

Gina ♥

Today I just wanted to get outside of my house and see the world (small world) that I live in and feature someone or one of my friends on the first day of school. I loved seeing what everyone else was wearing today!

  • I like the bright blue against her skin tone
  • It was just the right amount of accessories, ie: necklace and earrings
  • Its casual and comfortable but still has elements that speak to her personality!

Pictures From a Monday Morning

Well It's my last day of complete freedom and bliss. Spring Break officially ends in less than 3 hours (when I have to go to work!) I can't remember the last Monday where I slept in and was lazy until noon, it just feels so nice! There have been a lot of change recently these past few weeks but i'm embracing it and learning that plans change and I am trying to 'go with the flow' more. Today has just been lazy, lazy and I love it!

What time it was when I finally put my book down and got out of bed!
(Yes that's a wahoo's fish taco's sticker on my alarm clock classy I know...thanks Kevin)
mmm a cup of hot Tea

Welcome to Class...First Day of School (Semester) Jitters!

Everyone knows that half of going to school is what you wear to class! Being a health care major, I split my time in between lecture and lab meaning half of the week I can wear whatever I want without worrying, but lab day I try and wear scrubs or something pretty casual (casual for me =jeans and a sweater) especially if we're working on Cadavers that day (the stench just absorbs in your clothes and stays with you until you have a chance to change). The first day of school has always been a big deal in my family, growing up we always had a new, clean outfit and always took a picture by our front door with our backpacks, it was just tradition! I appreciate my mother for always doing this because looking back at those photos it's amazing to see the fashion growth lol! Plus who doesn't want to feel extra special wearing something new on the first day of school? Enjoy! ♥

Classy Date Night

Hello Love Birds! ♥ It's date night! Who doesn't love Date Night!? Even better a dressy date where you can pull that little black dress out of the closet and dust off those sexy pumps for a night out on the town. The thing I love about this is that it's wearable to dinner, dancing or a party and totally versatile you can add or take away from the the main piece (the little black dress), mixing with a different cardigan, shoes and accessories. Details: Dress: Anthropologie, Shoes: Vintage Italia Jcrew, Ruffle Cardigan: Downeast Basics, Scarf: Jcrew, Clutch: Nordstroms BPAren't the shoes to die for? I found them at a little boutique and fell in love! I think they'd be so pretty with a wedding dress because the color is so rich also they look great with other solids! ♥

Favorites, Favorites...Everybody Has Them!

Some of the stores and brands I love!

La Musica

Post #1: It's hard to describe one's personal style and love for clothes when the world is full of so many beautiful creations. My personal style doesn't have a concrete definition because it's always changing and evolving through time. Much to my father's dismay my closet always seems to grow and mature from year to year, acquiring so many beautiful peices and getting rid of those I've outgrown. I'm constantly going through my clothes reorganizing, adding, and evaluating things. It seems like everytime I move, pack and unpacking all my clothes, I find things I haven't worn in a long time, things I've forgotten I love, things I definitley need to get rid of but can't seem to part with and things that bring back memories. Clothes are so representative of memories for me, I found an old button down shirt that I stole from a past boyfriend the other day, that often ends up on my back at bedtime, or when i'm lounging around in leggings, a messy bun and my glasses. It reminded me of so many things we did together and what I loved about him. Another day I pulled out a beautiful floor length Calvin Klein dress that I wore to a formal event for work and the magic of the night came fluttering in as I carefully placed it back in it's garment bag. Yes clothes are just replaceable objects but they are the object of my affection, the excitment of my day and the music of my life.
